First Day of Preschool

Oakley started Preschool last Tues. and was very excited. It is her 3rd year of preschool so we decided to change things up a bit and put her in a new school (Learning Dynamics) and it seems to be going well. Her teachers name is Miss Steiner and Oakley got the pink cubby in the classroom so she was thrilled. Here are some of those cute first day of school pictures.

I Love It!

Don't you just love it when your looking through the pictures on your camera and all of the sudden you come across this....

besides the fact that it means Oakley was using the camera without permission. Hmmm maybe it's not a mystery that our camera suddenly broke.

Camera Trouble!!! What?

If you haven't done so already, read Charity's Camera Trouble post.

First: I don't recall Hanny Manny ever fixing electronics. Besides, his tools do all the work anyway. He is such a poser. Although, he does have one thing going for him I will admit. His tools don't try to take his fingers off like mine do.

Next: Don't tiny little machines operated by tiny little people with tiny little fingers put those things together? And you wonder why everything is made in China.

Last: If I only had the right tools. I have had slivers bigger that the screws they use to put that thing together. Any "Hanny Manny" of a man will tell you it's all about the right tools.

Let this be a lesson to all of you out there. If you don't like what you got. Break it. Disassemble it beyond repair. Then at the right time & with the right tone, tell your spouse you tried your hardest to fix it, but you just can't seem to gt it back together.

Now, listen up, here's the key. They will pity you so bad for your failed attempt that they will actually be the ones to suggest you get a new one.

Oh yeah, MY NEW CAMERA IS BETTER THAN YOURS!!!

Horse Days

Troy took the kids up to Cornish Utah last weekend (his sister lives there) for Horse Days. It seems that this is going to be a new family tradition because they had so much fun!

First they got to ride in the parade.

Then there was the big horse race.

Out of the four contestants Oakley took third place, we were so proud.

Some creepy guy holding Oakley, oh wait that's just Troy

There was sheep riding, calf dressing and frog catching, but I think the best event had to be the barnyard scramble. Apparently anyone in the community who has an animal of some sort that they no longer want can bring it for the scramble. After all of the animals are turned loose, the kids are set free and anything they catch they keep. Troy said there was everything from geese to pigs, even cats and puppies. This would be one of the times you definitely don't want to cheer for your kids. Can you imagine if Oakley would have come home with a pig!!
P.S. Next year we will haul your un-wanted pets to horse days for a fee of $50. heheheh!

Oh and where was Deacon during all of this?
It seems he went a little unsupervised during the trip.

So that's Horse days. I'm looking forward to next year’s!

Camera Trouble

The other night we were at the park taking some pictures and all of the sudden the camera stopped working. But not to worry Handy Manny Troy fixed it??...

Needless to say we had to go get a new camera!

Oh, the pain.

I think I am beginning to see a pattern in my life. Each week is filled with things that I probably shouldn't have done. As you can see this week is no different.

Dad's Time for the Kids (NO, that's not Poo on Deacon's Face)

As many of you know, Charity is attending cosmetology school in the evenings. This leaves me with the responsibility of attending to our children all alone. As you can imagine this has become quite an eye opener for me. I don't know what God forgot to give me but I just can't seem to get the hang of it. Everything is a challenge. Tonight I gave Deacon and Oakley some Macaroni and Beef for dinner. Yes it came from a can and no it's not healthy, but I can play the Dad card so neaner neaner. Anyway, I thought I had everything under control when I tucked a a wash rag into Deacon's shirt as a bib.(I couldn't find the regular ones because Charity is so unorganized. Yeah right, HE HE HE... The honest truth is I actually suffer from a very common form of DADIOUSCANTFINDIOUS disease, also knows as laziness.) Well, I now know why bibs have the little Velcro tab on, it's so you can safely secure your child inside the ride at all times. My rag Idea lasted about....... you know, I can't really say, I don't think I was paying attention. I also suffer from DCCADD. (Daddy Child Care ADD) Is there a pill for That? Anyway, it didn't last very long. It's this kind of stuff I just can't seem to get the hang of. Common (mother) sense would say don't do this, it's a bad idea Troy, but I just keep making stupid mistakes. Poor Charity, I have to give her credit for entrusting me with her two most precious, more dirty than when she left for school, sometimes.... a lot of times not in their PJ'S, spanked, tired, snotty nosed, past their bedtime, gifts.

Sorry Chard,
I Love you

Pleas take some time and fill out our weekly pole question

It's already happening

Everyone I know that blogs has had this little addiction problem with it. So why does it happen? and when does it stop!!? It is 2:00 in the morning and I am still up blogging, this is quite embarrassing, but I know most of you have been there to. I do have a pretty cute slide show now so I guess it was all worth it.
